Our customers were undertaking a major renovation to accommodate their growing family when they contacted Kitchen Mania. The new space for the kitchen was large and open plan with great flow between the kitchen, dining and living rooms out to a large wrap around deck. They wanted to maximise storage and bench space so they could enjoy having the whole family in the kitchen, with the kids super keen to help out with baking and cooking!
The family wanted a minimalist finish that celebrated the overall design of the space it sits in rather than drawing focus with fussy details. Dominic designed a stunning kitchen with clean, streamlined cabinetry. Integrated handles gives the kitchen a modern minimalist feel and the large island with a Calacatta Gold bench top and double waterfall ends is a statement piece. Dominic also designed an on-bench pantry to hide all of the bench top appliances.
The family now has a beautiful space for entertaining and socialising. The kitchen really is the heart of this home.
Our customer was embarking on a complete renovation of his 1920s bungalow when he contacted Kitchen Mania. The previous kitchen was a 90's era L shaped kitchen that lacked flow and functionality. Our customer was having real difficulty figuring out a more user-friendly design for the space, even after consulting many family and friends for advice and ideas. Our talented designer, Mark reconfigured the kitchen to create a space that flows well, has great functionality and more usable bench space. He created a kitchen that has become the heart of the living space and is sympathetic to the character of the home. We were able to incorporate wood paneling into the bar back, a request from the owner that we think looks beautiful. We cleaned up the pantry and laundry area, creating more storage and functionality and we love our customer's addition of painted wood paneling in the laundry, that ties in nicely with other parts of the home.
We created this stunning modern kitchen for a beautiful family of four who love to entertain! Their previous kitchen was difficult to access (with constant collisions if there was more than one person in the kitchen!). Our talented designer Elizabeth moved the scullery door from the centre of the kitchen to the outside wall to improve the flow of traffic in the kitchen. This enabled us to create more bench space on either side of the freestanding oven and add some much needed storage space. We increased the height of the kitchen to maximise the usable space, and built a bulkhead with scotia to highlight a more thoughtful looking space. We even added a special entertainment cupboard in the scullery for the family to store extra glasses, drinks and a charging station!
After the huge success of their Whangaparoa holiday home kitchen, our customers were inspired to transform their kitchen at home. They wanted to make a large impact and open the kitchen, dining and lounge up to create a natural flow out to the outside living areas. Having a large bench space with lots of room for seating around the kitchen island was key as they love to entertain friends and family. Mark designed a stunning kitchen with a soft modern look that is practical in every element and flows perfectly. The Neolith bench top was chosen as it's a practical working surface with both stain and heat resistant properties. The marble look was chosen to complement and add energy to the room.
When Lyndsay decided to move from her stylish Parnell apartment to live with family in Mairangi Bay a major overhaul of the space was needed! The family home had an old living quarters below it that was small, dated and didn't flow well. This gorgeous kitchen in black acrylic high gloss with a slimline stainless steel bench top is everything that Lyndsay wanted, it has a great modern look and flows extremely well with the rest of her home.
