Paintings by Cathryn Ryan on display at Kitchen Mania

If you've visited either of our two wonderful showrooms over the last few weeks you will have noticed some exquisite paintings by the talented Cathryn Ryan.

The Auckland based artist reveals her love of nature through botanically inspired artworks, while trying to simulate the effects of photographic depth of field.

These amplified depictions frequently discuss the passing of time – capturing the realities of beauty and degeneration. Cathryn strives to achieve works that are alive, fresh and restful.

Cathryn painted at high school but it wasn't until 2000 after she had helped her husband establish their central heating company, and having their three children that Cathryn took up painting again. She was very quickly selling her works through various art galleries and by commission.
