It's been a couple of weeks since the kitchen reveal for Pearson + Projects and we're getting such great feedback we just had to share some of the details of this project with you!
We're in the business of designing amazing kitchens for amazing clients - but we understand some decisions that may be easy for us to make, are more difficult for you when we're talking about YOUR kitchen in YOUR home! That's why we use only the best in 3D photo realistic rendering of your kitchen design to help you make the all important colour and design decisions that best suit you! Alice and Caleb wanted to step away from their norm in colour palette for their kitchen in their "Relocatable Reno" project. Alice says "I love the boldness that’s required when you design a kitchen. From small samples you select what will be the complete look of your kitchen. There’s no room for changing your mind - once it’s installed, it’s there for good. With this kitchen we wanted to push our creativity. Our objective was to create a kitchen avoiding the comfort of our “go-to” choices, which revolves around a strong white colour scheme. Thank goodness for Kitchen Mania's 3D photo realistic software that provides a rendered image of your colour and detail selections. Through my showroom consult with their expert team, I found the confidence a select a fresh colour palette and venture into a design style I never have before."
Alice and Caleb wanted to explore a mid-century style for their kitchen. "There are three elements I love about mid-century interior design: the minimal look that focuses on function, the use of bold colour and the integration of different materials. I considered every choice I made in planning this kitchen - as every decision, from kitchen layout to the shape and colour of the sink, works together to achieve a final look."
This kitchen needed to be practical and functional to suit Alice and Caleb's young family, and with the kitchen being a high traffic area of their home, they weren't willing to compromise on quality. "The combination of features from Kitchen Mania like soft closing doors, full height storage and a pull-out rubbish bin makes our kitchen practical and functional. It’s satisfying that everything can be put away, especially because our kitchen is open to both the lounge and dining."
In the kitchen it's the colours, finishing touches and styling that really bring it to life. Keeping inline with their mid-century inspiration, Alice and Caleb chose a copper tap, handles and floating shelves to add interest to their kitchen. The engineered stone bench top in Metropolis Dark adds impact and drama, and their choice of retro blush tiles and bench top appliances work perfectly with this theme.

"Kitchen Mania are a family business, who take care and pride in delivering quality kitchens that work within most budgets and design styles.
We don't recommend them because we have to, we recommend them because we want to. This is our fourth kitchen with kitchen mania, and it certainly won't be our last." - Alice Pearson, March 2018.
